This gentle goat milk soap is highly sought after because of the established lore about its healing properties for many skin conditions.
African Black Soap is traditionally made from secret recipes in Ghana and other parts of western Africa. Different tribes and communities have adopted their own specific blend of oils, soothing beneficial local ingredients, and cooking techniques which accounts for the different color variations among black soap. Plantain, cocoa pods, palm tree leaves, and she bark are some of the locally harvested materials included in these recipes.
In keeping with tradition, we have included the traditional key ingredients of coconut carbon, as well as plantain powder, tea tree essential oil, and our very own goat's milk in our blend of oils and butters. This bar lathers beautifully, helps detoxify the skin, and it gentle enough for your entire body.
African Black Soap is also known as:
"ABS"
"Ose Dudu"
"Anago Soap"
"Alata Simena"
